I can’t connect to rpc.technorati.com
All of my posts for the last 12 hours or so have been hung up in the PING phase. Looks like the Technorati Ping Server (rpc.technorati.com) is down or unavailable. I can’t even open a TCP connection to it.

That’s very strange! I will make sure our engineers see this and check on this.

Yes, apparently we had a double whammy today: our ping handler hosts were rendered inaccessible and our monitoring systems didn’t tell us. We usually know about a problem and have a remedy under way well before the emails pour in but we’re glad to hear from folks either way; this time the emails were the most effective monitoring system.
Sorry about the confusion this must have caused and thank you for being there!
